Nowadays my reading is about 60/40 nonfiction/fiction. In fiction, I tend to stick to sf, fantasy, and horror, but also enjoy historical fiction, westerns, and selective literary.
Currently I'm working on the Vampire Earth series, a popcorn dark fantasy set about fifty years after a bunch of extraterrestrial Lovecraftian vampires showed up. I just finished up my Age of Fire books, Tolkienian high fantasy about a family of dragons, told from the dragon's perspective.
