I've always loved to write, but lost touch with that part of myself for many years. Being a stay at home mom gave me the opportunity to start dabbling, and last year I wrote my first novel, a romance that's way too long. I shelved it and began work on my second idea. My current WIP (more than 2/3rds of rough draft is complete) is a suspense thriller set in Las Vegas, involving a side of the city few know exists.
My characters are flawed but interesting, and I love exploring the dark side of my antagonist.
As a stay at home mom/child care provider, my time is limited but I try to read at least one book a week. I prefer mystery, suspense, thriller, or historical, as well as nonfiction relating to the genre I'm writing. I'm in love with my Nook and have discovered many books there I otherwise wouldn't have given a chance.
