I love historical fiction about the bad girls in history or the women who haven't been celebrated before. A longtime lover of ancient lore, I enjoy re-imagining myths for the modern age. I don't believe that true love is ever simple or without struggle so my work tends to explore the sacred within the profane, the light under the loss and the virtue hidden in vice. I count it amongst my greatest pleasures when, from my books, readers learn something new about the world or about themselves.
