About Steven Thomas Howell's Reading & Writing

I like to mix up my reading. Science fiction is my great love, but I'm influenced by horror, westerns, noir, historical fiction, and literary fiction as well. I've read a lot of history both in school and as part of the professional education of a military officer. If I'm not occupied with something else, I'm reading something. I'm unpublished, but working on a science-fiction novel and several short stories. I'm never short on ideas, only available waking hours to develop them. In 2013, I'll retire (with a "little r") with 20 years of military service and concentrate on writing.
