Most of my work to date has consisted of writing marketing literature, website copy, product information, training documentation, competitive information and promotional campaign materials. In addition, I've done a good bit of editing of others' work, both other authors' writing (non-fiction and sometimes fiction) along with a number of masters' theses.
My current novel is historical fiction, set around the Crimean War (mid-1850s, UK, Turkey, the Crimea). I've recently finished a short story I'm finalising. I've written poetry all my life and had a few published in anthologies but have never completed a full-length work of fiction.
I read a good deal of non-fiction; my fiction tastes tend to run to historical fiction, thrillers, genre fiction and occasionally mysteries. I enjoy complex plots and books of considerable length and particularly enjoy well-developed, character-driven narratives about the human journey.
