About alice turpin grinste's Reading & Writing

I'm an avid reader, and prefer mysteries, suspense, and thrillers. My favorite book, if I have a favorite, is Elmore Leonard's, "Up in Honey's Room." Other favorite authors: Margaret Coel, Harlan Coben, Lee Child, and Philip Craig (deceased), to name a few. You won't find much violence or swearing in my writing, as I hope the storyline and the characters suffice to make the novel exciting and interesting. I like to critique others' writing, and have a couple of email friends with whom I exchange manuscripts. I live in a small community, so have no close writing friends, as I did in the city. I write every day--except when I don't! I do write 5 days out of 7, and occasionally have several days where I have to take time off to think. Like most writers, however, the present story I'm working on isn't far from my thoughts.
