A serious writer whose favorite book (James Joyce's "Ulysses") is full of both learning and belly-laughs....Works include a novel about Minoan Crete, a biography of America's First Poet in English (Morton), am editor of several Early American texts. I most enjoy combining rigorous research with creatively playful presentation, so that readers gain a fresh and positive perspective---and my website AncientLights.org includes a nonfiction study of Minoan Cretan lunar/solar astronomy called "Calendar House." Waiting to see a screenplay about Thomas Morton of Merrymount produced into a full-length feature film, and the odds are getting better---May 1st is now Thomas Morton Day in Massachusetts!
