Literary fiction isn't a genre? Or is just that nobody is bothering to publish new authors? I do read thrillers, sci-fi and mysteries on occasion, but my passion is books that are playful with language, form and perspective. If you do that within a genre, that works for me too.
I'm a big fan of multiple points of view, and I love a good flashback.
