About Marjie Gowdy's Reading & Writing

I write for a living, even 'wrote' our museum on the Gulf Coast to recovery. And retirement is still several years off. I am deadline oriented and would probably take the jump into novel writing if given an assignment. I have a lively, broad-ranging imagination, love nature, politics, and all of life's dramas. I read as I can--certainly my Kindle has provided a way to drift off with a good book, as they say. I go first for a good mystery or suspense novel, but have to say my heart lies with traditional Southern literature such as Capote, Faulkner, Robert Penn Warren.
