I write mystery and action/adventure novels set within historical events beginning in the early 1970's. The action ranges across the US and around the world.
The Daniel Hagerty mystery series follows a young man of twenty-five as he is leaving the military at the end of the Vietnam war and attempting to renter civilian life. The series will follow his exploits as he grows and tries, unsuccessfully, to have an anonymous life among the tumult of the '70's, '80's and '90's.
The James James Dupree/Sister Philippa Action/Adventure series follows Sister Phil as she insinuates herself into the major world conflicts of the '80's and '90's. Jimmy Jimmy, marginally successful real estate agent and gambler, always is called upon to assist her as events spiral out of control.
My favorite writers are Elmore Leonard, Walter Mosley and Hemingway. I admire their ability to tell a story well with tight prose that respect the reader's intelligence. They prove exposition can be entertaining.
