Early exposure to Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Robert McCammon and John Saul influenced my writing. I also love John Grisham, Nelson Demille and any writer that can keep the pages turning well into the night.
I have a Master’s degree in Professional Writing.
Genre:
I spent two years in Texas and the harrowing temperatures inspired my horror novel, The Drought.
I spend most of my time "down cellar" where I dream up horrific things that happen to nice people. It gets lonely.
On the literary side of things:
Two of my creative non fiction pieces received first place recognition in Kennesaw State University’s graduate level writing competition. (I was so sure they wouldn't win, I left the award ceremony early and found out by email the next day.)
612 West Maitland went on to win a statewide competition and was selected for publication in the anthology O’Georgia! A collection of Georgia’s Newest & Most Promising Writers.
