I love to read, like many other writers. YA, Middle Grade, adult fantasy and science fiction, horror... pretty much the only stuff I don't like is heavy literary but even then I'll give it a go if I like the premise.
As for writing, I'm a plotter maniac (with great respect for pantsers, don't know how you do it) who can't quiet the voices and has to write to get them out. My MG novel, The Ghost Boy of MacKenzie House (Acorn Press), is due spring of 2012 while my YA Urban Fantasy, Fresco (Etopia Press), comes out this summer. Meanwhile I'm juggling at least a dozen new ideas all wrangling for time while my YA Paranormal Thriller, Best Friends Forever, is with agents awaiting THE phone call.
