Writing is my lifelong obsession. As early as elementary school, I found ways to turn writing assignments into story opportunities. My parents encouraged my imagination, filling my mind with knowledge and good reading material. While my peers were reading Sweet Valley High, I was engrossed in the Dragonlance Chronicles, Robotech, and the Heralds of Valdemar. Nowadays, I read far less than I'd like, but that's mostly to give myself more time to write. Given the fantastic nature of my early reading, it's probably not a surprise that my writing tends to include elements of science fiction, fantasy, and the supernatural.
