I write small town, family-centered contemporary romance. My novels tend to be more lighthearted and humorous rather than dark and sexy. (Falling in love can be pretty funny).
The first romance novel I ever read was a Nora Roberts book, so she continues to be an auto buy for me. I typically try to read contemporary romance similar to what I write because it is what I enjoy. Julie James and Karina Bliss have recently become favorite romance novelists of mine.
