I'll try reading any genre but mainly stick to romance or erotica. A hot, sexy but loving book will always make me happy. HEA is not always necessary, though very nice.
My writing genre spawned from what I read. The more I read, the more my own characters and plots would evolve. Journals and journals full of random ideas and stories culminated in my first novel (Unwritten Rules) being published by an independent publishing house in January 2011.
Writing is that scariest journey I have ever started, and considering I'm the mother of two young boys that is certainly saying something. However, now I've started writing I can't ever see a time where I don't bury myself in my fictional worlds.
It's escapism in the extreme and I adore it.
