About SimonCLarter's Reading & Writing

I write flash fiction and short stories, but my short bio already says that, so it's not particularly new information to you, is it? I've a novel on the go (doesn't everyone?) and am currently working on a novella project with an actual deadline that's causing me the occasional panic attack. The novel's urban fantasy, in case you're interested. The novella's spec fic. I've written literary flash fiction and short stories (I even published some of that stuff), and am branching out into supernatural and fantasy shorts. I read everything. I've plowed through a ton of Hemingway, Woolf, and Faulkner this past year. It may have made me pretentious. As far as genre fiction goes, I've devoured Stephen R. Donalson, Piers Anthony, Tad Williams, Greg Bear, Tolkien, George R.R. Martin, Ursula K. Leguin, Melanie Rawn, and who knows how many others? (Their books. I've devoured their books. Not them.) I read Twilight and didn't hate it as much as I thought I would. Don't tell anyone.
