About the Book:

Joann, Dolf and Mariat are the best students at the Iron Gods' Thaumaturge Academy. Despite having forged peace across the peninsula over a century ago, the Gods-In-Steel still need warriors and they particularly need thaumaturges, powerful sorcerers who can create and control deadly constructs. Their first assignments are lead them not only to their destiny, but also to the secrets hidden beneath their world. Joanne finds herself lost and alone as a routine punitive expedition into the Depths goes horribly wrong. Dolf is forced to unite the theories of the iron gods and the secrets of his people when a diplomatic mission reveals a deadly new enemy. Yet, it is Mariat who most truly sees the face of the enemy when he joins an ill-fated expedition to the world beyond the peninsula and finds himself confronted by a destiny he has no choice but to fulfil. And above it all sits the Bride, as she stirs the waters of destiny with her blood-slicked mace and watches the final act of the Two God War play out.
