About the Book:
Sample: He was like a picture suddenly snapping into focus, crisp lines crawling over black edges. He shook and shivered despite the warm night air. The megawatt motion sensor above her door snapped on, stunning them both with its fluorescent glare. The streetlight popped and shattered into a thousand pieces. The man’s shaking stopped the moment hers began.
“Oh, no. No, no, noooooo...” The words escaped softly from her lips as Matthew, breaking the paralysis inspired by the fluorescent light, took another step forward. She didn’t understand what happened to him, but she knew that they would not be having dinner together any time soon. And she knew she had to help him.
Matthew was hurt; parts of him were shining in the light. Her hand was almost on the brass knob when there was a thud from the other side so violent the frame trembled. Without process, her hand recoiled. She felt just like she did when Josh was in the hospital. Afraid of the sickness. But now someone else was dying outside her door.
About the Author:
I'm an aspiring romance/horror author, quite the mix I know. I'm currently going through the publishing process for my first paranormal romance, A New Day at Midnight, which I originally went through an extensive review process with readers on Book Country. I've found it to be a great resource and am coming back for more!
Author's Note:
I would appreciate any and all feedback. I welcome comments on characters, writing style, what works and what doesn't for the reader and anything else that comes to mind. I am more than willing to exchange honest reviews as well. Thank you!
