About the Book:
The veterinarian Abran is forced from the opium wars of Pakistan to the lavender wars of Clallam County, Washington when his brother and 2.5 million dollars of heroin disappear. He becomes suspect and detective in this Portlandia-Noir tale where local artisans try to solve the mystery of the five left feet which have washed ashore.
About the Author:
Mary Nijssen is a free lance public health nurse who works internationally in infection control. Her recent assignment on opioid related deaths in rural America led to the writing of this novel.
