About the Book:

Ross McMahon, the laird of County Monaghan has only one heir, his daughter. She is a sassy and strong willed women named Ciara. There are many waiting to marry Ciara for comes with her wealth, control of Monaghan, and the famous McMahon name. Aware of Interest in his inheritance the laird announces that any man who can win certain contests, Ciara will marry him and inherit Monaghan. The contests cause chaos, for Ciara's reputation proceeds her. The first man to enter the contests fails and is defeated. Ciara agrees to marry Aengus Campbell, a Scottish lord. Ciara insists in her father's contests. The wills of Aengus and Ciara brings out the firey spirit of them. The local noble man that was defeated will stop at nothing to gain Ciara's inheritance and take control of Monaghan.
