About the Book:

A little murder in a big corporation. Art Donnelly, an employee at a Fortune 100 company, is killed six hours short of his retirement. His long time friend Dave Grodnow, comes across information from several unlikely sources. He knows that if he can survive the long enough to put the pieces together, he can bring the killer to justice. In Dave's way is a vindictive old enemy, now the department's Senior Director. He also runs into trouble with the militaristic corporate security team, who seem eager to pin the murder on him. A maelstrom of corruption and employees with hidden agendas are also obstacles. Complicating matters is his awkward relationship with his new boss – who is his ex-girlfriend. They haven't spoken in over a year. Her new role and recent changes in her life add to the challenges. Unlikely help comes from a beautiful rising star in corporate, the woman that fired Dave. Her motives are murky, and her superficial charm makes him wary. Reluctantly, he teams up with her in a race to uncover a sinister conspiracy before more of his friends die.
