About the Book:

A missing heirloom... It all started with the Ashcroft sapphire, a rare brooch that has been passed down through the lines for generations. It was his grandmother's dying wish that it be restored to its rightful place. Orion Ashcroft, Earl of Rockford knows where to begin looking, at Hawthorne Jewelery, where the piece was supposed to be taken to be reset. The trouble begins with Miss Athena Hawthorne.... Alone and left destitute, Athena is told by her father's solicitors that the trust set aside for her welfare had been gambled away. With no where to turn and no money to hire an investigator, Athena meets a handsome stranger who offers her a respectible position -- as a governess to his sister's twin children. It seems too good to be true, but soon Athena finds that maybe, her luck is about to change. Until one fateful meeting in a bookstore that changes it all. Told that her father had been framed --by a nobleman--Athena sets out to put matters to right and gain back her stolen inheritance. Rion, while still not quite convinced that she is not guilty of the Ashford sapphire's disappearance, sets out to help her. But the closer they work together to find a criminal, the closer they are growing toward one another, until the shocking conclusion that neither one of them ever seen coming.

About the Author:

I am a wife, mother, and dreamer who was born just 200 years too late. My ultimate dream has been to see my name in print and for people to enjoy my stories, as much as my fourth grade teacher did.
