About the Book:
A gigantic tidal wave threatens the city of Urris and upon its back sails an invading army weilding a powerful water crystal. One wizard knows the origin of the crystal and knows to keep it hidden, especially from his eldest son. Durandus, the youngest son, regretfully discovers the crystal and summons its elemental powers. In so doing, he summons the evil that has been searching it for centuries.

Author's Note:
Confluence (about 14,000 words) is a stand alone short story based in the world of my novel The Seven Crystals of Jordan. It takes place prior to events in the novel and explaines how one of my characters obtained an elemental crystal. The first-person narrative is sandwiched between brief third-person prose which I think works fine in context. For semi-ease, I have divided this up into four chapters. Main challenges occure in the second half when I introduce Ophella and Grandis.
