About the Book:

Maya Crew is a beautiful 35 year old African American woman standing at 5’6’’; she has accomplished many things in her life. Went to the University of Georgia to study Criminal Justice and graduated at the top of her class. She then went to Tennessee where a job offer was waiting for her. Once she was settled there for a year she went back to school. Maya kept going back until she got her Doctor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. By that time she was a world famous detective and everybody wanted her on their cases. She traveled all over the world and couldn't really put down some roots. But over the course of her time, she liked to collect things. Maya has two homes, one in Tennessee and one in Washington D.C. She also has three cars: an Escalade, Convertible, and a MKZ that she got as a gift from a case. She has also accommodated two motorcycles, one red and one yellow. But with all of this fortune, there has been some sorrow. Three years ago, Maya was shot in the line of duty. The bullet was a through and through passing through her uterus and out her back. The doctor said she wouldn't be able to have children, so she just got her uterus taken out. But she found a silver lining in all of this, no more periods. She never caught the person that shot her. The one case she really wanted to solve and she couldn't. After that she retired from the force and took on cases every now and then. Now that was all going well until she got a phone call that her mom died in a car accident by a drunk driver.
