Dan Sievers is a public radio reporter based in St. Paul and happily married to Gwen, a former rock singer turned schoolteacher. Their lives are upended by a shattering loss that is at once a freak accident and the result of Dan’s careless actions. Gripped by grief, rage, and guilt—and paralyzing confusion over which of the above to feel—Dan surprises himself and everyone around him by blowing up his life.

Author's Note:

This is a new draft of my short novel, 54,000 words. Based on feedback to an earlier draft, I've pared out 7,000 words. I believe it's cleaner and moves more smoothly. Would be grateful for any feedback.

Requested feedback Criteria: Overall Feedback, Voice, Character Development, Pacing
