About the Book:

For Alistair Elswood, Duke of Aylesbury, his life changes irrevocably when a malicious siren casts a curse upon his soul, sentencing him to an existence that is neither immortal, nor fully human, but a beast with only one goal in mind -- to exact vengeance on the woman responsible for his torment. He has no idea that in his travels on a dark night through the streets of London that he will find his salvation. Cosette du Bouir is a French immigrant who was dropped on the steps of the Heavenly Heart Orphanage in Paris as an infant -- the only link to her past being a locket with the simple inscription, "To mine -- Be mine." Living a hard life in a London workhouse and toiling away her free time as a seamstress for the upper society, Cosette unwittingly becomes the target of Alistair's obsession. At first Cosette resists the passion that sparks between them almost instantly, but after her best friend, Charlotte, becomes drawn into the dark underworld of the infamous, Hellfire Club, the duke offers his assistance -- for a price. She must live with him and become his mistress. Wary of this dark, mysterious man, Cosette realizes she has no other choice than to accept his proposal if there is any choice of rescuing Charlotte. As they gradually share a stronger bond than passion, neither of them has any idea of the secrets about to be revealed as they are lead on a whirlwind journey to the past. Can such a tortured love be strong enough to defeat the odds?

About the Author:

Some people don't know what they want to be when they grow up. For Tabetha, a typical, small town girl, she knew from an early age that writing was her passion.

Author's Note:

I was never a big fan of the whole vampire hype, but I did think a story about a man cursed with a similar affliction would be interesting. I wanted him to be a mortal human, but with the tragic circumstances of a man under a dark spell. I have never written a fantasy story like this, so it might be a bit choppy -- a work in the progress, so to speak. Thanks for any input :)
