About the Author:
Author's Note:
This is a story I have longed to tell growing up in China as part of the post-Cultural-Revolution generation. It is a story of my grandmother's, her sisters', as well as numerous women's who lived through those notorious ten years. Their lives, along with the lives of their loved ones and later generations' are forever changed by the political and social movement of such scale. This is a tribute to the survivors, an elegy to the victims, and a cautionary tale of a nation that was thrown into utter insanity.
