Has anyone here ever signed up for a PitchFest (or similar event) at a conference? At the San Francisco Writers Conference this year, I spoke with a lot of writers about the experience: 3 minutes with an agent to pitch their manuscript. If the agent liked the pitch, they'd ask them to send the full manuscript. It sounded like a highly stressful event, but lots of the writers I spoke to had been asked by the agents to query, so it did seem productive. And kind of fun, maybe.

If you've done something like this, what was the experience like for you?
