Just finished reading THE QUEEN OF THE TEARLING by Erika Johansen. Very entertaining, and the protagonist, Kelsea, is different than most heroines! Even though the book is YA, it deals with a lot of mature issues surrounding war, power, and sin. What fantasy books are you reading?

I just finished The Golem & The Jinni and really, really loved it. It's one of those cross-overs between literary and contemporary fantasy--beautifully written, but also excellent world-building and a really fascinating sprinkling of religion and mythology.

I just finished reading THE NAME OF THE WIND, by Patrick Rothfuss. It's pretty good, even if the third person POV sections are a bit sloppy. I recommend it.

I just finished reading 'Lover Mine', by J.R. Ward. It's an Urban Fantasy with a vampire twist. Pretty dark, and part of a series I'm currently reading; the Black Dagger Brotherhood. Definitely not a read for people who don't like M/M. Though the first seven books don't go that route.
