I am ready to upload a manuscript, but I have a friend who is designing a custom cover for me. Are there any design specifications for covers of BookCountry ebooks? Width, height, pixels, megabyte maximum? Thank you.

Yes, there are specifications for Cover upload. They are:
Acceptable file formats: PG (.jpg), GIF (.gif) or PNG (.png)
Maximum File Size: 20 MB
Color Space: RGB (not CMYK)
Resolution: 200 pixels per inch, though 300 pixels per inch is recommended
Recommended Proportions: 1400 x 2100 pixels
Minimum Width: 1400 pixels
Minimum Height: 2100
Copyright: You must either own the copyright or be able to provide written permission from the creator (artist, photographer, etc.) in order to use the work on your eBook's cover
Text Restrictions: You can include the Title, Subtitle, or author name in your uploaded cover image, plus text such as endorsements or illustrator credit is acceptable
Logo Free: Logos from another publisher or company are not allowed
