I would posit that some aspects of his work are horrific, such as the physical manifestations of internal or emotional components.

That would definitely be something I'd want to read! I'd hope it would be short though...a horror the size of the Windup Bird Chronicles might make my head explode!

Something more like Kafka on the Shore length might work better. It's interesting, because at any given fork in the road you get the sense that his characters could step off the end of the known into any other world. Why not horror?
