I might have weighed in as well.  Too much vitriol, LeeAnna? No such thing in this instance. If I may be so bold. I think some of it might have dribbled onto my post as well.

No problem with me. I just gave the same response I told my cousin:
Non-writers don't get it. They have never sat down and actually tried to write a novel the "proper" way with the hard work and the daily grind. Having her succeed through laziness is the most infuriating thing in the world when you are the one who actually tries.

Well, I liked that they wrote about pulling the book to pieces, but then the effect was somewhat diminished when I learned it happens so often. I still cannot believe they're making this into a movie. And there was a link in that article asking if I wanted to smell like sex and 50 Shades... gross.

My best friend was asking me about my novel the other day. I had given her a link to this site but since she didn't become a member, she only read up until the word limit. She said though that what she read was better than 50 Shades of Grey. I didn't mention that I tried to convince her not to read it, but she went on to explain why she felt the need to read it--saying it was a pop phenomenon and she wanted to see why. And I can understand that. But I felt better when she had nothing but contempt for the book. I no longer had to question her tastes!

New person of interest. How long does it take for a visit to read your material. Siting on p/n, So many good readers to choose from. Over whelmed of the response to your creative flair. Love to continue in another book.
