So--Angels..

Can we talk?

I want to find a good story about Angels.  Not a religious story about the Angels though.  I'm reading Covet but I got half way into it and my interest stalled...I dunno... I'm sure I'll get back into it but I think it rang a little too religious'y for me.  

I have read/heard that people are tried of the Angel Trope but....geesh, it's nowhere as overplayed as zombies.

Anyway, thoughts on Angels? Is this old and used up as Vampires? 

Do I need to wait for it to come around and be popular like Scotsmen are now? (They went through a dark period where no one wanted it and now it's all the rage.)

I don't know about books though. A search on Book Country gave 68 books with an angel tag...

On writing books about angels... try to make the character strong and different. A flawed Angel IMO is far more interesting than a perfect one.
