When I was in college, I changed my major 4 times. At one point, my record showed the following majors: Aerospace Engineering, Math, Education and English. If you're trying to see how a self professed science geek ended up as an English major, don't worry. You're not alone. After 2 years of bouncing around trying to find what I liked, I ended meeting with the Dean for the College of Arts and Sciences. He noticed that I was an English minor and that I did quite well in my English classes, but just mediocre in my science classes. When he asked me why I think I did better in English than Science, I said, "Because I like to write." And that is how I became an English major. Funny thing is? I may like to write, but I'm horrible at grammar. Go figure. My mother, of course, says I write pretty well. I tell her that she has to say that because she's my mother.
About KD Proctor's Reading & Writing
Right now, my heart is drawn to writing hybrid type novels (is there such a thing?). I love action/adventure movies and love those types of books, too. I'm also a sucker for a good ol' romance novel as well. So, right now I'm trying to combine the two. It may work. It may not. I guess we'll see! I'm not trying to become the next big author. I just want folks to like my story and say, "that was surprisingly good."
