About the Book:
Ten years after her father slayed seven Lakeside locals, Cameron Daniels still faces ridicule for a past she did not control. As she strives for a normal teenage life, she must fend herself against journalist, stalkers, her peers, and violent mobs. Everyone swears she'll have the same blood-lust as her father. Worse, Cameron hasn't found a way to prove them wrong.

I am reworking chapter one to display how the set-up of the story will proceed in the novel.
I am using a bildungsroman style of storytelling, win which the story itself develops as the protagonist experiences the present and puts together the past. In other words, the italics change the shape of the narrative. You might think one thing until you learn more about her past.
I hope that's the effect at least.
Otherwise, I hope you'll feel free to read through, give me some stars, and constructive criticism.
